Heading Up North to the Land of the Pines

This is just a short note to say that I will be absent for two+ weeks. I'm going to the woods. I won't have any Internet connection, and my phone service will be spotty at best. I'll miss you, my friends!

I will climb a mountain and thank someone for my life.

I will jump stark naked into a freezing pool of water in the shadowed woods.

I will play music for children, and paint, and run for the sheer joy of it.

I will abandon fluorescence.

If I get eaten by a bear, please send flowers. (Just send them here, because that's where I'll be. In the belly of the bear. In the great gulf, remembering everything, owing nothing.)

I will miss you, Jen. Take care, have fun, and don't forget to relax. Plus, don't let the squirrels take your nuts, or let the bears eat you.

What will become of #goatposse with you gone??? I will miss you, my dear pony girl. Be sure and take your bear repellent. Else I shall have to wander into the gulf and perform laparoscopic surgery on that bear's belly. Not giving you up w/out a fight.

Baaanzai!

Take care, and have fun!

It's a little known fact that rutabaga's are nature's bear repellent.

I'm just sayin'--pack accordingly.

Have fun, Phreshy! I think unplugging does a body good (kinda like milk). Enjoy your family time! We'll be here when you get back! :o)

Wow, that sounds fantastic...except for the part about the bear, obviously. And watch out for those squirrels. They are sexual deviants and can't be trusted.

As our beloved Pony has decamped to wild upcountry haunts, I shall take it upon myself to report now and again of sighting. F'r'instance...
Jen blew into New Hampshire like an avenging angel, her noble jaw set in a blinding grin, having o'ercome any highway worries and become a PEOPLE MOVING MONSTER on the road!
She arrived at a remote mountain outpost, smeared green paint on her forehead and cheeks and declared "I am here for the music, and the children, and the silent forest haunts of coot and fern!" Then she slung her Yamaha across her like a rocket launcher and jammed HARD. One young person said "Didja see how low she wears her acoustic? Like Jimmy Page? That's so bad-ass!" Her tawdry city-bought necklace was the first to go: "I shall fashion a better 'un outta GIMP!" she hollered. Children (including her own) swarmed about her, eager to suck up the sweet mountain mojo she was projecting. Yes...the Pony had gone feral...she quickly spotted the two goats, Pippin and Willow, and greeted them as hoofed brothers, and looked long and deep into their slanty goat eyes. Silent volumes were exchanges. Pretty soon she was playing OCMS's "Wagon Wheel" like she wrote it, and witnesses felt light-headed, and then uplifted. She was up on a mountain this morning, and will be swimming with loons this afternoon, and with a powerful aura of contentment and powerful friends who back her play and watch her back, no bear shall menace this Pony. Oh, and she's writing a musical with children.
