Whatever was inside must be very valuable! Perhaps it was a glass sculpture. |
It must be very large, too! |
The item came encased in much padding. |
When autopsied, the padding was made of a white foamy substance. It could not be destroyed by man-made force or by nature. |
Boxes within boxes were about to unleash their secret! |
More wrappings! The gift must be very fragile and precious indeed. Our anticipation was high. |

OK just so we're clear - it *wasn't* Gwyneth Paltrow's head?
Mindy, that was in there, yes, amidst all the other packaging. It got in the way so we just pushed it aside.
Now that's funny! I'd have followed your blog anyway after reading that, but now I see Cherie follows your blog too and I love her blog, so now I'm compelled to follow you! :-)
Hi Scott! Any pal of Cherie's is a pal o'mine. I'm going to track you down now and follow you, too!
AAAHAHAHA the planet is dead, but utensils-for-fishing-out-cherries-in-a-jar live on! i cracked up.
Nice SEVEN pull, McGinnis!
You're a better wife than I, Phresh.
@Bethany,
Just in case you were thinking I did, I didn't buy that krap. My MIL did. But she did not know how heavily encased the objects would be when ordered online! Including the head of Gwyneth.
Okay, I feel so much better. My husband's birthday is Wed. I plan on sliding a $20 in his card and calling it good.
Also, I guess if you HAD to pull someone's severed head from a box you could do a lot worse than Gwyneth...
LOL! What a fun adventure. I kept holding my breath for the unveiling. ;) The suspense nearly kilt me until finally, the wonders were revealed.
I'm only disappointed that you didn't share a pic of Gwyn's head. Sigh...
Happy Mother's Day, my delightfully eccentric pal!
Hey pony, I've got a yummylicious award you can dig in with your new and shiny spoon. Come stop by my blog tomorrow. =)
